ARE YOU EXPERIENCING ANTI-SOCIAL BEHAVIOUR |
Hi Residents,
Are you experiencing Anti-social behaviour? WHAT IS ANTI-SOCIAL BEHAVIOUR? It is defined at section 2 of the Anti-social behaviour , Crime and Policing Act 2014 as: Conduct that has caused , or is likely to cause, harassment , alarm or distress to any person Conduct capable of causing nuisance or annoyance in relation to that persons occupation or residential premises or , Conduct capable of causing housing-related nuisance or annoyance to any person. Anti-social behaviour(ASB) covers a wide range of incidents and is dealt with by a number of different agencies. If ASB is not dealt with appropriately and in a timely manner it can have a devasting impact on the lives of individuals, families and communities. It is widely recognised that single agencies cannot tackle ASB alone and must work in partnership to address the issues. ASB can cause significant harm amongst its victims. It can affect esteem, mental health and physical wellbeing and perceived safety in both public and private. It undermines community cohesioon and in the most severe case , it can have tragic consequences .
The West Wight Neighbourhood Policing Team has this as a priority under OP NATHER. We work closely with Housing, and the Isle of Wight Council in combating this. Should you be subject to this please call 101.
